Latest news off CNN:
And, I want to laugh at the bull of CNN's "money" news ... lets keep the sheeple focused on the Suckers Rally on Wall Street - all the insiders have gotten their money out of there long ago and definitely out of the US$.

Then there's the true to distract celebrity news such as the following on the Drudge Report this morning:

Michael Jackson's burnt hair is up for sale...

Drudge's headlines focus on the health care - divide and conquer the American populous. Who the heck is going to pay for anything when the dollar is worth crap - you'll be lucky to have the money for food and government employees will have the same problem as these Vets with their government issued checks:

In response to the hardships caused by delays in delivering GI Bill benefits, the Department of Veterans Affairs began issuing advance educational benefit payments to veteran-students in the form of US Bank business checks. These emergency checks are being issued in amounts up to $3,000 for veteran-students who have applied for GI Bill benefits and who have not yet received their VA payment. VA's 57 regional offices began issuing these checks to eligible Veteran-students across the country on Friday, October 2, 2009. Unfortunately, many veterans have found it nearly impossible to cash the VA checks. To help with this latest snag, the VA has established a special customer service call-in number (1-800-827-2166) for banks to verify the validity of any US Bank check brought to them by a veteran. Banks calling these numbers will be connected directly to a VA employee who can access to all necessary information to verify who the check was issued to, the check number and dollar amount of the check, and whether the check was previously cashed or not.

Our government's priorities are obvious with the bailing out of their buddies on Wall Street with BILLIONS - neither our country's Veterans OR the populous is what they are focused upon. Our government has rendered our country totally bankrupt - a fiat currency that is on a global death march - keep the right and left, democrats and republicans, gays and non-gays, etc... fighting and there is an old and wise expression that "a house divided cannot stand".

Americans appear to have the attention span of a New York Minute - and the corporate government media has been cultivating it for decades with the television set.

I don't have the power over anything - let alone what is set up to take place very shortly in our country when the masses wake up to the evaporation of buying power of the dollar bill in their pocket. When they wake - the name of MUCKERS has been given to those herds of people who will be totally in the dark as to what happened. Trusting the government can find comparison to trusting a scorpion not not bite you.

As if Americans very shortly having to face the collapse of the US$ - all they need is what is happening to our planet with the solar system passing through a VERY HIGH magnetic region of the Milky Way Galaxy. The total absence of sunspots is more than a clue as to changes taking place beyond the hand of any government or elite globalist to fix.

SpaceWeather.com | DEEP QUIET Today, the sun is entering its 13th consecutive day without sunspots. Just a few years ago, such a stretch of blank suns would have been unthinkable. Now it's routine. So far this year, the sun has been spotless 79% of the time, topping the 73% mark recorded in 2008. Long after many forecasters thought solar minimum would be finished, the quiet is not only continuing, but actually deepening. Are sunspots gone for good? Researchers discuss the question in an article from Science@NASA.

From the NASA article referenced above:

Sunspot magnetic fields measured by Livingston and Penn from 1992 - Feb. 2009 using an infrared Zeeman splitting technique.

You can click the above link to the NASA science article that ends with the following paragraph:
Whatever happens, notes Hathaway, "the sun is behaving in an interesting way and I believe we're about to learn something new."
I won't get into the geomagnetic field activity of the sun posted daily by the Joint USAF/NOAA Report this morning - SolarCycle24.com has a website that picks up alot of such data and also has links to lead you other sites to find more solar data.

Weather Change is an understatement used by corporate-government media. Next April will mark my 60th year on this planet if I make it til then - and what our planet is in for with increasing solar changes will transform normal weather into a memory from my past. The weather man is always wrong with forecasts since I can remember - however, there is becoming a new "commonly used" vocabulary base to attempt to describe weather such as freak, strange, abnormality, unusual, out of season, etc - as on-land hurricanes, strange clouds, straight line winds in excess of 100 mph, earthquakes in strange places, volcanoes coming to life, strange sounds from the ground, record rainfalls, etc. take place globally. Areas of a country being totally battered with not only one record rainfall but another and another moving in right behind to affect already saturated soils is becoming a new normal.

For example, this morning's news:

Rome was struck by extreme weather conditions which spun off a small tornado at 5 pm yesterday afternoon, causing mayhem with rush hour traffic.

Winds clocked at 90kmh, accompanied by heavy downpours, toppled more than 50 trees, killed one 21 year old, and caused an additional 5 injuries, one of whom remains in critical condition.

Meteorologists say the small tornado struck ground’ just a few miles east of the capital’s ring road, in Via di Lunghezzina.

The gale force winds kicked in at around 5 pm. Approximately 30 major roads had to be closed and bus routes and rail lines were temporarily stopped or re-routed away from the storm.

Due to the severity of the winds and rains, and the time of day, traffic jams wreaked havoc with workers trying to get in and out of the capitol.

Much of the damage, and ensuing mayhem was caused by the falling trees.

I could fill pages with news articles out of cities, counties and states with the downward cycle of revenues and budgetary problems. The state of California is giving out IOUs. WHO pays for damages to roads due to flooding? The taxpayers.

Take your time and ask yourself WHY has FEMA been in the business of new flood maps for every state. Pay your premiums for government flood insurance and with our bankrupt federal government do you really think the claims will be paid any better than the checks received by our Veterans? Money in from Americans - Money out to global banksters ... is continuing to be working real well. Won't even go into the bankrupt FDIC insuring your money like FEMA is insuring you for flood damage.

The news on disputed FEMAs flood maps have been going on for months ALL OVER the country! (Pulled up just a couple this morning to provide visualization)

MUCKERS (n) is a term describing those American sheeple who will (one-of-these-days very shortly) walk around in a fog - because they TRUSTED the government and the money they are holding in their hands is worth crap and they won't know what happened.

GLOBAL POLICE ORGANIZATION - INTERPOL
Heck with federalizing local police - go right to globalization of police

Interpol Secretary-General Ronald K. Noble

Who is Ronald K. Noble - Waco Siege “Enforcer” To Rule Over Global Police Force
Man who both approved and covered-up government slaughter of 76 people, including 20 children, will lead move to establish international model of law enforcement.

UN and Interpol officials met Monday to discuss the formation of a “global police force” that would enjoy access to a worldwide database of DNA, biometric and fingerprint records. The effort will be spearheaded by a man known as “The Enforcer” who helped federal authorities both conduct and cover up the murderous Waco siege which killed 76 people in 1993.

“Interpol and the United Nations are poised to become partners in fighting crime by jointly grooming a global police force that would be deployed as peacekeepers among rogue nations riven by war and organized crime, officials from both organizations say,” reports the New York Times.

The danger of having a global police force conducting law enforcement on U.S. soil under the control of Interpol and the UN is self-evident. Global cops who do not have to swear an oath to uphold the Constitution have no obligation to follow it. Operating outside of the realms of the U.S. legal system, global cops will have carte blanche to snatch, grab and intern citizens without recourse. A highly centralized system of policing guarantees hardly any liability whatsoever and therefore encourages rampant illegality and police brutality.....

AP | The global police organization Interpol began issuing special passports Tuesday to its senior investigators, aimed at allowing them to enter any of the group's 188 member countries without visas. Pakistan and Ukraine become the first countries to accept the new documents and three more will follow soon, Interpol Secretary-General Ronald K. Noble said during the organization's general assembly here.

Lakeland, Florida | Holes in the bottom of Peace River - water is going down the holes instead of flowing downriver

Published: Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 8:22 p.m.
Last Modified: Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 8:22 p.m.

During the 2000-01 drought, a few of us wandered around the riverbed of the Peace River to see whether we could find any more places where the river was flowing into a hole in the ground.

These sinkholes, chasms and other holes are known technically as "karst features," a geological term in use since the late 19th century to describe areas where rock is dissolved by water, creating conduits between and within surface and underground geology.

The latest news about these holes in the bottom of the Peace River is that scientists at the U.S. Geologic Survey office in Tampa have figured out how much water is going down the holes instead of flowing downriver as it once did.

The five-year, $926,000 study was funded by the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

The study, conducted by Patricia Metz and Bill Lewelling, concluded that an average of 11 million gallons a day disappears into the ground along a two-mile stretch of the river between Bartow and Homeland.

These losses contribute to the common dry season phenomenon in the past 30 years in which little or no water flows down this portion of the river. FULL STORY

ANOTHER CLASSIFIED INCOMING FROM SPACE

Many people in the Netherlands witnessed a fireball in the heavens at around seven o'clock on Tuesday evening. Astronomer Theo Jurriens from Groningen University has confirmed that it was an extremely bright meteor which broke into three pieces after hitting the atmosphere.

He says he received about 100 reports of sightings of the meteor from people throughout the country. The KNMI national weather centre also received a large number of calls reporting the event.

HAPPY GLOBALIST STATE NEBRASKA'S PUMPKIN NEWS

Have been enjoying looking out my window at my Service Berry bush on my patio - it has the prettiest color red/orange leaves now. It is a bush that is native to Nebraska (usually growing in a thicket) and its berries were dried by the Native Americans. Waiting for it to warm up - need to get things ready for winter. Maybe some warmer weather is coming my way this weekend ... who knows!

Talk at you all later ... have a very good day!!

My news blog: The Cave

Evening Newsletter | October 13, 2009

I chose not to have a television - and, all I have to say is that I experienced total unbelief when I decided to see how MSN, CBS, CNN, ABC, Yahoo, and even Google News headlined the news that broke this afternoon in the NY Times. They didn't spin the news IT WAS NOT EVEN MENTIONED!

Don't Americans realize what this means to them personally? As readable in the screen print above about Benanke - of the US Central Bank (Federal Reserve) - will go "down in economic history as the man who killed the greenback on the operating table".

As said in a previous article I sent in a News Update - you may have $300,000 in savings but you could end up only buying a loaf of bread with that amount of money.

Barely a month ago - Sep 7 2009 - the United Nations conference on Trade and Development issued a report that blamed the "dominance of the dollar" for playing an important role in the recent build-up of global imbalances. About a month later (Oct 7, 2009) China and Russia declared a "New World Order" ... and in less than a week the US$ is no longer the world's reserve currency. How long do you think the world will do anything to help our government pay for our military with many wars across the globe? How long do you think it will be before we witness our government totally freaking out in panic behavior. I will definitely be monitoring how corporate-government media spins that!

My greatest fear is some crap false flag to suddenly happen to totally distract the American populous - from a cyber attack on banks to an actual bomb somewhere. Desperate people do desperate things - and given the headline from the New York Times today ... it won't be that long before desperation will clamp on to those in bed with banksters (our government). Falsely believing China would keep the US$ alive is childish thinking especially with all the war talk out of Israel wanting to bomb Iran and it centering and dancing around the little three letter word OIL.

From the Drudge Report:
Nebraska: Coldest early October...

Lincoln Journal Star: Oct. 1-11 was the coldest Oct. 1-11 period on record for Lincoln, with records going back 123 years to 1887.

High temperatures over the weekend were usually the highs Lincoln records for early to mid-December, according to Dewey, professor of applied climate science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Saturday's high temperature at the Lincoln airport was only 38 degrees. The previous record low maximum for the date was 41, set in 1987.

Sunday's high temperature was only 40 degrees. The previous coldest maximum was 47, in 1946.

Similar record-low maximums were set across much of Nebraska. Several cities also had record minimums.

Dewey said the average temperature for the first 11 days in Lincoln was 46.7 degrees, almost a full degree colder than the 48.6 degree average temperature for Oct. 1-11, 2000.

Also in top 10:

1935: 49.3 degrees

1925, 1977: 49.6 degrees

1987: 50.3 degrees

1985: 50.4 degrees

1891: 50.7 degrees

1952: 51 degrees

1988: 51.1 degrees

1959: 51.4 degrees

The weekend cold was part of an Arctic blast that also brought snow to most of Nebraska. On Saturday, the North Platte airport record 13.8 inches of snow -- not only a daily record but more snow in one day than the city had ever received in the full month of October.

Sunday night, another weather system brought a new band of snow to the central and northern Sandhills, with average snow accumulations between 1 and 3 inches.

Temperatures are expected to improve somewhat the next couple of days, but rain is likely Tuesday afternoon and night, the weather service said.

Highs should reach the mid-40s Tuesday, around 50 Wednesday and Thursday, the upper 50s Friday and Saturday and the lower 60s on Sunday.

The Jakarta Post | October 10, 2009 Blast may be result of falling space waste or meteorite

The Jakarta Post , Jakarta

An expert from the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (Lapan) said Thursday a blast that had frightened residents of Pallete village in the South Sulawesi regency of Bone earlier in the day might have come from falling space waste or a meteorite.

Lapan Center for Climate and Atmosphere Science Implementation head Thomas Djamaluddin said accounts of the explosion from local residents indicated it was likely a falling meteorite.

"But it could also be falling space waste. We’re still investigating it," he told The Jakarta Post.

Space junk includes discarded materials from rockets, satellites or space stations, Thomas said.

South Sulawesi Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Hery Subiansauri said the blast was not from a crashed airplane.

Commander of Sultan Hasanuddin Military Airbase in Makassar, Commodore IB Putu Dunia, said the Air Force’s Sukhoi jets and choppers carried out routine sorties in the morning, but not as far as Bone. (bbs)

Morning Newsletter | October 13, 2009

From one of my favorite morning reads - George Ure's UrbanSurvival.com:
Readers all over the country report seeing those blue-striped SUV's all over the country now days - some sample sightings:

"I saw a vehicle here in Wisconsin I never saw before. SUV, can not remember if it had emergency lights or not. Lettering "Emergency Response" or something to that effect. Like a disaster response vehicle. The driver was our age and did not look very threatening.

---

"George, I live in eastern Penna, between Allentown and Phila. Most mornings I also see a federal DHS police car, same car, same time, same route. This is an officer going somewhere on a regular schedule, as it seems to be commuting type travel. Must take the car home with him at night. Car is a white 4 door suv type, marked as described in the other report.

Someday, if I need something to do I should tag along. Wonder what federal "law" authorizes them, and how it affects us, the people of the several states.

---

"The white vehicles with blue writing are part of the Federal Protective Services under DHS. You can read about them on the net, photos included. Their duties continue to expand, overlapping in my opinion, those duties of other law enforcement agencies, but what do I know. Perhaps very soon everything will be under DHS.......or is it already........must of missed the memo. And budget funding comes from where for all these folks and their gas-guzzling large autos and SUVs? Guess they missed the "eco-friendly, green, hybrid government vehicle" memo. And there you have it.

---

"My friend and I went for a day's journey to Santa Barbara on the train (we live in Orange County). We returned back through LA Union Station where the train stopped for loading/unloading passengers. I saw something out of my window that scared me. I thought, this is an "Auschwitz train." The train was next to the platform, and next to our train. There was no activity around it (seemed parked there). It was painted in drab gray primer. That was odd enough, but what really made me think of Auschwitz was it had a series of 3 or 4 lights mounted together on the top end of each car, also in painted in gray primer paint. The lights were capped, meaning they were "non operational." At the time I thought, hmmmm, is this what some of us folks may be traveling in to camps, etc. when we don't comply with taking H1N1 shots, or demand to keep our firearms, etc.? Another curious thing, there was a "logo" for lack of the proper term, on the end car - wish I had thought to capture it properly in my memory, but it looked like it may have been the symbol from the UN. Geeze, I hope I don't ever have to be a witness for anyone. I saw this emblem (logo) before somewhere, just wish I had better recollection."

Yikes! One reader who understands what's going on spells it out this way:

"To quote another reader, "Naturally, my concern is that Bush (and now Obama) imposed a national police force on us and we did not even know about it. This looks like yet another step on the road to an authoritarian police state."

Seems to me Obama DID tell us about it. That would be part of the civilian force that's as well-trained and funded as the military. Of course Homeland Security was the logical starting place for the creation of a federal police farce."

And since, as Paul Craig Roberts reported the "PATRIOT Act mandates Homeland Security Police", another reader wonders:

"Here's a question for you - What is the end game to all of this? A poisoned planet, a slave class, billions dead, a deserted landscape that lays in ruin, what is the final goal? King of Nothing? And at what point, if/after they reach their goal, that the PTB go all "Lord of the Flies" on each other? Then what?"

Oh...that's when the Kanamits arrive in their UFO's with the book "To Serve Man" which turns out to be a cookbook. But, thanks for asking.

Meantime, gotta wonder what kind of fleet buy the Feds got from GM which was edging toward bankruptcy...oh you see how the controlled economy works, right?

COLORFUL EFFECTS OF SOLAR WINDS

NORTHERN LIGHTS: A minor solar wind stream hit Earth's magnetic field on Oct. 11th, sparking green auroras around the Arctic Circle. Aleksander Chernucho photographed the display from Russia's Kola Peninsula not far from the border of Finland.

Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity
Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at quiet levels during days 1 - 2 (13 - 14 October). Activity is expected to increase to quiet to unsettled levels on day 3 (15 October) as an equatorward extension of the northern crown coronal hole begins to influence the field.

Just a note: Weather forecast for some sunshine on October 15th in Lincoln - warming up to 50's - with the above "northern crown coronal hole beginning to influence the field".

Electromagnetic Radiation

Visible light is a complex phenomenon that is classically explained with a simple model based on propagating rays and wavefronts, a concept first proposed in the late 1600s by Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens. Electromagnetic radiation, the larger family of wave-like phenomena to which visible light belongs (also known as radiant energy), is the primary vehicle transporting energy through the vast reaches of the universe. The mechanisms by which visible light is emitted or absorbed by substances, and how it predictably reacts under varying conditions as it travels through space and the atmosphere, form the basis of the existence of color in our universe.

QUOTE: "I find it amazing and strange how these particles and energies from thousands, millions and even billions of light years travel and bounce around until they hit us (GCR bounce off magnetic fields) and cause atmospheric changes and weather events. Why has there been no official confirmation of the weather events being caused by events from space despite all the mounting evidence and data?
Isn't it enough to see how at first they were calling the current Earth changes "global warming" and then went with "climate change" when it was obvious the Earth was not simply warming up... Why do people think space is empty? Space is anything but empty... it's full of particles/waves and interactions of such macroscopic scales that we have only barely begun to understand them. Not to mention the prevalent force of electromagnetic radiation."
Electromagnetic waves are produced by the motion of electrically charged particles. These waves are also called "electromagnetic radiation" because they radiate from the electrically charged particles. They travel through empty space as well as through air and other substances.

Scientists have observed that electromagnetic radiation has a dual "personality." Besides acting like waves, it acts like a stream of particles (called "photons") that have no mass. The photons with the highest energy correspond to the shortest wavelengths.

THE DEATH OF DOLLAR BENEFITS GLOBALISTS

TheGlobeAndMail.com | Dollar's drop brings in billions for Coke - Warren Buffett favors Coke over Pepsi - he owns the most of any investor

The 14-month decline in the U.S. dollar against major currencies is scary for Americans. The U.S. has always been proud of a strong currency, and a depreciating dollar makes everything we import more expensive. While it makes our exports more attractive, goods produced here and sold abroad account for a small part of the economy.

For Coca-Cola (KO-N54.790.140.26%), however, the falling dollar helps juice earnings. In the footnotes of its second-quarter regulatory filings, Atlanta-based Coke says it made an extra $1.1-billion (U.S.) abroad due to currency translations. To put that in perspective, Coke posted net income of $2.05 billion during the quarter. (The currency gain is theoretical, in that the company hasn't realized it on its income statement.)

The foreign-currency variable highlights a factor in Coke's business model that should serve the company well. International diversification has made the company resilient in the face of a weak American economy.

Besides currency-translation adjustments, Coke's investments in bottlers around the world have performed well. Excluding Coca-Cola Enterprises, bottling investments for the company have been assigned a fair value of more than $3-billion above the carrying value, the worth of an asset according to its balance-sheet account balance. The network has diversified Coke's revenue streams, making North America just another competitive front.

North America accounts for more than a quarter of revenue, only surpassed by bottling income, but it makes up only 19% of operating income, less than the European Union, Pacific region and Latin America do. Pepsi, Coke's archrival, derives more than half of revenue and operating income from the U.S. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett favors Coke over Pepsi, incidentally. He owns 8.6% of the company, the most of any investor and about the same as the combined holdings of Vanguard, Fidelity and State Street(STT Quote). FULL STORY

Is Obama pushing to intentionally make America a second-rate world power if not, why are we doing what we are doing?.....

The REAL Battle Over America’s Banking System The battle isn’t between bankers versus outsiders. It is between the giant New York money-centered banks and the rest of the country.

Oct. 13 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama’s effort to lead the world economic recovery by spending the U.S. out of its recession is undermining the dollar, triggering record commodities rallies as investors scour the globe for hard assets.

As threats of a financial meltdown fade, the currency is falling victim to an unprecedented budget deficit, near-zero interest rates and slow growth. The dollar is down 10 percent against six trading partners’ legal tender in Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s first eight-and-a-half months, the sharpest drop for a new occupant of that office since the Reagan administration’s James Baker persuaded world leaders to boost the deutsche mark and yen by debasing the dollar in 1985. This year’s drop followed its best two quarters in 16 years.

“The dollar had been strong because the U.S. was a haven in the storm, and now that the storm is abating, who needs the dollar?” said Edmund Phelps, who won the 2006 Nobel Prize in economics and teaches at Columbia University in New York. “People got exasperated with the tiny returns on safe assets.”

Investors are sating their renewed risk appetites with developing nations’ stocks, currencies and the commodities some of them produce. Gold is up 19 percent this year, touching an all-time high $1,062.70 an ounce on Oct. 8. Copper has rallied 103 percent with the biggest three-quarter rise in at least 21 years. Crude oil, up 64 percent, just finished its steepest eight-month climb since 1999. Aluminum has gained 24 percent, propelled by its best two quarters in a dozen years or more.........

Washington DC | US recession over, unemployment seen at 10 pct

From an economics forum:
I didn't want to start a new topic, so I'll put it here. I'm sitting at my computer and my window is open. For the last half-hour, I've been hearing large numbers of helicopters going from west to east. Fort Detrick and Camp David are to my west. These are large helicopters. I can't see them, because it's still too dark out. We're used to the helicopters flying around, but this is unusual. I've noticed at least ten of them and that's just since I noticed that there is a lot of activity. I can't say how many went before that. I wonder what's going on? Yeah, here comes some more... sounds like two of them, maybe more.
Okay, took a shower and got dressed for work. They're still coming in force! Holy sh--! Are they going in big circles? The same ones going round and round? If they're going in a straight line, then something is definitely up! Anybody else in MD/VA/DC seeing these? Anything unusual? This is weird!

VACCINATIONS NOT IN HUMANS' BEST INTEREST
MEDICAL RESEARCH DISCLOSES BRAIN DAMAGE DUE TO COMPONENTS

German soldiers to receive different H1N1 vaccine than German people -- According to a newspaper article, the German military has ordered it's own special vaccine for it's 250000 soldiers. Different from the serum which the civilian population will be vaccinated with, the more compatible vaccine for the soldiers will not contain any contended additives nor will it contain any mercury preservatives, has been reported by the Bielefelder "Westfalen-Blatt" under reference to military sources.

Aluminum in Vaccines Increases Thimerosal's Toxicity : Health ...

..........At least three major studies have found thimerosal injections to be associated with developmental disabilities including autism. Two researchers at Stony Brook medical school found that male infants injected with thimerosal via hepatitis B vaccinations (a) were nine times as likely to be enrolled in special education services, and (b) were three times as likely to have autism — when compared with male infants who had not been so vaccinated (6-7). Importantly, these findings are consistent with the original CDC study (Verstraeten et al 1999) wherein early live thimerosal injections were associated with autism, PDD, language problems, sleep disorders, and tics (reviewed in 8).

Furthermore, other peer-reviewed studies have documented some of the mechanisms by which aluminum and mercury induce pathologies seen as neurodeneneration (eg, 10-14, 15-17).

Noteworthy: in a recently published study, researchers dared mention that “The demonstrated neurotoxicity of aluminum hydroxide and its relative ubiquity as an adjuvant suggest that greater scrutiny by the scientific community is warranted.” (14)...............

Three heroes of 9/11 die of cancer in five days - James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act - is still sitting in Congress

The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act - named after an NYPD detective who died from his post-9/11 ailments - is still sitting in Congress, and Grossman and others are urging lawmakers to act now.

"These three deaths are proof that we need this bill passed today - not a year from now," said John Feal, founder of the FealGood Foundation.

The bill would provide $10 billion for medical care for hundreds of first responders who have since become ill. But doctors haven't directly linked these illnesses to the World Trade Center.

"The facts are indisputable," said Kenny Specht, 40, a firefighter who worked for the NYPD on Sept. 11 and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer three years ago. "This week alone proves what we've been saying is absolutely occurring."

Feal said the deaths of Grossman, Diaz and Mannetta in a span of five days is hard to ignore.

"How do you get this high cluster of serious cancer in just people that worked the pile? he said. "That isn't a coincidence."

From another forum I visit:
"You know what's really heart-breaking? I just got finished interviewing a 25 year old 2009 law school graduate (USC undergrad) for a position on my desk to file and answer phones. he is currently answering phones at a pool company (wonder how much longer they'll be in business?), so I guess this would be a step up.

Then he gave me the real clincher: SEVENTY-FIVE percent of his graduating class is unemployed. And I don't mean unemployed in the legal profession; they haven't been able to find ANY jobs ANYWHERE.

And the interviewee looks at me, earnestly, asking about opportunities at my company in the future when things get "better". I hate to lie to him, I want to be honest, but I play along and assure him, "Yes, if the economy turns around, we will probably be hiring again, and that may create a window of opportunity for you to move up."

I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth, that things are NOT going to turn around, that this is our new *normal*. But it reminds me - once again - of my favorite move, "The Matrix". Morpheus warned that those who are too young or too old cannot be unplugged from the matrix. It will kill them...."

Chron.com | Mexican government seizes electrical utility

MEXICO CITY — October 12, 2009 - President Felipe Calderon on Sunday disbanded the public utility that supplies electricity to Mexico City and the surrounding area, citing a gaping budget hole that threatened service to 25 million consumers.

About 500 federal police seized the Mexico City offices of the electricity company Luz y Fuerza del Centro, hours before the government published a decree documenting severe financial and operational inefficiencies at the electricity provider.

Luz y Fuerza is a state-run company that services Mexico City and parts of four central states, but business decisions were largely dictated by a powerful labor union that was locked in a dispute with Calderon's government. The 66,000-member union promised protests to resist the move in the coming days. FULL STORY

Vitamin D may save you from swine flu -- People still don't get it: Vitamin D is the "miracle nutrient" that activates your immune system to defend you against invading microorganisms -- including seasonal flu and swine flu. Two months ago, an important study was published by researchers at Oregon State University. This study reveals something startling: Vitamin D is so crucial to the functioning of your immune system that the ability of vitamin D to boost immune function and destroy invading microorganisms has been conserved in the genome for over 60 million years of evolution.

Did you know that the fluoride chemical commonly added to municipal water supplies is actually an EPA-regulated toxic waste chemical? If it wasn't sold to cities to be dumped into the water, it would have to be disposed of under stringent (and expensive) hazardous waste guidelines. People who handle the fluoride liquid are advised to wear chem suits to protect them from this extremely toxic substance. Dumping fluoride chemicals into a local river is a violation of federal law, but dumping it into the public water supply is somehow approved as "good for public health."

George Ure's UrbanSurvival.com "I'm pleased as punch that gold is pushing $1,070 this morning, but counter-balancing that is my displeasure that the purchasing power of your money & mine is being further hollowed out by the central banksters who seem intent on screwing America's Boomers out of their life-long savings. Oh sure, you may get to have that $300,000 nest egg in your 401(k) but it may not buy you more than a few loaves of bread - as those $100-trillion dollar Zimbabwe notes on my office wall constantly remind me."

All is well with me ... the economic collapse was last year and the papering over of this reality with money made out of thin air is now no longer working. We live in historic times ... like the fall of the Roman Empire ... the fall of the American Empire to a banana republic.
