World court upholds German immunity in Nazi cases
THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) -- The U.N.'s highest court confirmed Friday that Germany has legal immunity from being sued in foreign courts by victims of World War II Nazi atrocities. The International Court of Justice said that Italy's Supreme Court violated Germany's sovereignty in 2008 by judging that an Italian civilian, Luigi Ferrini, was entitled to reparations for his deportation to Germany in 1944 to work as a slave laborer in the armaments industry.

Major US carrier set to fire some 13,000 employees
Press TV - The third-largest American carrier has reportedly planned to fire nearly 13,000 employees to radically cut its costs in order to stay afloat.... AMR, which operates American Airlines and American Eagle Airlines and has nearly 88,500 employees worldwide, reported a huge net loss of $904 million in December 2011 alone.
