It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

Sunday Evening - January 3, 2010

The holiday season 'officially' ends tonight I suppose ... and, tomorrow my oldest turns 36 years old ... and the current frigid weather is what was also going on in Lincoln way back in 1974. Off of DrudgeReport tonight:

Haven't been able to do as much news research today ... tried to locate info on the Prez in Hawaii and how he spent his day. All I could find was he spent Sunday golfing.

He did get time while in Hawaii to sign ANOTHER Executive Order involving delivery of products made available to the American public by Big Pharma. The Postal Service not FedX gets to deliver my antidote after a 'large scale biological attack'. WHAT THE HECK. How does Big Pharma know WHAT antidote for WHAT type of biological attack?

gxxx =

Then there is the whole "federal gxxx to protect postguys and postgals while on their delivery route" in the following Executive order (emphasis mine):

Obama: In case of anthrax attack, your postman will deliver antidote

President Obama has authorized the United States Postal Service to deliver self-administered antidotes in the event of a large-scale biological attack. He has also asked for a plan that would use federal gxxx to protect postguys and postgals while on their delivery route.

Obama issued on December 30, 2009, Executive Order 13528: "Establishing Federal Capability for the Timely Provision of Medical Countermeasures Following a Biological Attack." ...

Wonder how much Big Pharma has pocketed preparing all these 'antidotes' in preparation of a potential biological attack ... wonder if they have prepared for the 'right' biological attack ... ???

Whosh .. there goes more taxpayer money to multinational corporations ALSO in the business of federal government pushed vaccines and now federal government pushed antidotes (how do they know which one to have on hand?) after some biological dumped on the American public.

What is our corporate bought off federal government up to now - preparing a biological release so they can get their 'federal gxxx' out?

Currently, the
Newark terminal is locked down... "after a man walked through the wrong side of a checkpoint exit .. Police are seeking the individual, who walked from the public side to the sterile side, said TSA spokeswoman Anne Davis. No flights were allowed to leave from Terminal C Sunday evening, she said. Authorities are reviewing video from airport cameras. They are not sure whether the man was once on the sterile side and went back, or if he never went through screening, Davis said."

Humans are out there running amuck again tonight!

MIAMI (Reuters) - An effigy of President Barack Obama was found hanging in the rural hometown of former President Jimmy Carter, local media reported on Sunday, and the Secret Service said it was investigating the case.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper, citing footage seen on WALB-TV, said the large black doll was found hanging from a building by a noose in front of a red, white and blue sign that said: "Plains, Georgia. Home of Jimmy Carter, our 39th President."

A witness told the television station that the doll, apparently discovered on Saturday, wore a sign with Obama's name on it.

In Washington, Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirmed the agency was investigating the case.

Obama golfs on last day in Hawaii

KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii — President Barack Obama is golfing with friends during the last day of his holiday vacation in Hawaii.

Obama returned to the golf course at Marine Corps Base Hawaii with three longtime friends Sunday, the last day of the 11-day trip to the state where he was born and grew up.

He has golfed at the base and other courses throughout his trip, which started Christmas Eve.

Obama started the day with his daily trip to the base’s Semper Fit gym, located in Kaneohe Bay near his rented vacation home in Kailua

BlackListedNews.com | Afghanistan is Not the Right War

Published on 01-03-2010

TRANSCRIPT: If history has taught us anything, it is that we need to beware those populist politicians who claim to be men of peace by nature but men of war by necessity. The most violent wars this planet has ever seen, the most brutal regimes that have ever sought to repress their own citizens, the most genocidal schemes have always been nurtured under the leadership of politicians who offer war, violence and domination as a way of achieving peace.

Napoleon waged wars of agression in country after country, terrorizing the peoples of Europe and ravaging their lands in the name of a continent-wide peace under the French flag.

Hitler, too, assured the world that his conquests were born of necessity, a means to achieve the "living space" that the German people required to live in peace.

Vietnam, too, was a war to achieve peace. If Vietnam fell to the communists, the world was told, the dominoes would begin to fall in country after country and it would not be long before the red tide flooded Western shores.

Wars are always waged in the name of utopia. Blood is always spilt in the name of the noble cause.

Spy chiefs turn on Obama after CIA agents slaughtered in Afghanistan...

‘One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes.

Are US Forces Executing Kids in Afghanistan? Americans Don't Even Know to Ask

The Taliban suicide attack that killed a group of CIA agents in Afghanistan on a base that was directing US drone aircraft used to attack Taliban leaders was big news in the US over the past week, with the airwaves and front pages filled with sympathetic stories referring to the fact that the female station chief, who was among those killed, was the “mother of three children.”

But the apparent mass murder of Afghan school children, including one as young as 11 years old, by US-led forces (most likely either special forces or mercenary contractors working for the Pentagon or the CIA), was pretty much blacked out in the American media. Especially blacked out was word from UN investigators that the students had not just been killed but executed, many of them after having first been rousted from their bedroom and handcuffed.

Here is the excellent report on the incident that ran in the Times of London (like Fox News, a Rupert Murdoch-owned publication) on Dec. 31:

Bloggers mock Chris Matthews’ fear of ‘kung fu’ terrorists

In the legendary television series Kung Fu, Young Caine once confessed to the blind Master Po that he believed living in darkness "must be worst" of all things.

The wise kung fu sage replied: "Fear is the only darkness."

If that's the case, MSNBC host Chris Matthews must be newly blind.

During a Dec. 30 broadcast, Matthews confessed to his guests that he believes the plotters behind an attempt on a Christmas day flight into Detroit probably made more than one bomb. "They are out there to get us," he said.

"And I think we have got to get serious about catching terrorists, not just catching weapons," Matthews continued. " I‘m waiting for the terrorist who knows kung fu or something that gets on an airplane without a weapon. God knows what that is going to be like."

FBI stats designate Saginaw the most violent city per capita in America (Michigan)

MLive | 1-3-10 | Gus Burns

Even as Saginaw lost more than 10 percent of it citizens — more than 7,000 moved away since 2000 — violent crime continues to climb, up more than 50 percent in 2008 compared with 2000, FBI statistics show. The annual violent crime statistics stretching back to 2000 expose the troubles. Occurrences of murder, non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault comprise the categories the FBI uses to gauge a city’s proclivity to violence.

H1N1 D225G and D225N in Russian Cases Near Ukraine

January 2nd, 2010

Recombinomics Commentary
January 2, 2010

The Ivanosky Virology Institute has released sequences at Genbank from trachea (A/Orenburg/IIV2974/2009 ) and lung (A/Bryansk/IIV2971/2009) samples suggesting these are from fatal cases. The trachea sample yielded an HA sequence with D225N, while the lung had D225G. The sequences followed three sequences released yesterday, which were also from Russia lung samples and all three had D225G. It is unclear if these recent release represent an increased detection of these changes, but they are the first receptor binding domain chnages from Russia and now there are five such sequences. Some match the clade in Ukraine, which also had samples with D225G and D225N.

Is The Government Misrepresenting Unemployment By 32%?

January 2nd, 2010

by Tyler Durden
01/01/2010
ZeroHedge.com

There is an old saying, “when in doubt follow the money.” These days investors have lots of doubt about pretty much everything (if not so much money). And with data from the government increasingly bearing the Quality Control stamp of approval of the Beijing Communist Party, there is much doubt in store courtesy of an administration which will stop at nothing in its competition with China as to who can blow the biggest asset bubble the fastest, data integrity be damned. Undoubtedly, of all government released data, the most important is, and continues to be, anything relating to unemployment. This is precisely where the government’s propaganda armada is focused. Yet in matters of (un)employment, the ultimate authority is, luckily, the Treasury, and not the Fed. “Luckily,” because when it comes to making money “difficult to follow” Tim Geithner’s office still has much to learn. Which is why when we looked at the Daily Treasury Statement data we were very surprised: because it indicates that the government could be underrepresenting employment data by up to 32%!

An American academic's attack on shoeless Kiwis costs lecturer job

03/01/2010

An American academic missed out on a top university job because of a letter she wrote to New Zealand Listener magazine lamenting the Kiwi habit of going barefoot in public.

The incident has been highlighted in a new book which looks at the rampant "political correctness" that is said to infect many American campuses.

Erin Mackie, a lecturer in English and cultural studies, worked at Canterbury University for six years, and wrote the letter to the ListenerListener article which made fun of a no-shoes/no-service policy in a Texan food store) described New Zealanders' public shoelessness as "not only backward and uncivilised, but dangerously unhygienic and repulsive to North Americans".
in 2006. The letter (itself a response to a

Trouble started when Mackie returned to the US. According to US author Cary Nelson, university staff had found out about Mackie's letter and decided it was an attack on the Maori people and thus racist. On those grounds, Mackie missed out on the job.

Speaking from New York State where she is now employed at Syracuse University, Mackie said that until contacted by the Sunday Star-Times
she didn't know why her application at the university (which she wouldn't name) had been turned down.

Once directed to the book and the blog, though, she said she found the incident funny.

As an academic who writes about ethnicity, she said the debacle showed how cultural misunderstandings could occur.

But she still thinks walking around barefoot does have public health implications.

"That's why God created flip-flops – or jandals."

The Chinese Air Force is satisfied enough with its locally made WS10A jet engine, to put it into production. This can be seen from that fact that the WS10A is now powering some of their J-11B fighters. Originally, the J-11 used a Russian AL-31F engine, but China has been working for a decade to manufacture their own version of this, the WS10A. The WS10A is something of an acid test for China, as it is a powerful military engine, and a complex piece of work. Russia refused to license China to produce the AL-31F, so the Chinese stole as much...
