FORUM POST:

Why Didn't My Senator Hold Out For a Big Payday.

If Blanche Lincoln (D-Arkansas) is going to commit political suicide by going along with this abomination that is health care why didn't you at least hold out and get us a payday like Nebraska and Louisiana did. At least then you could try to justify going along with the party when your constituents 3-1 against it.

FROM A FINANCIAL FORUM ON SATURDAY 12-19-09:
(Jim Willie is the gold guy)

Jim Willie...run on bullion banks

Jim Willie sent out the following note this afternoon:
FW: contact with strong ties to info sources

huge demands for physical gold are coming from entities holding allocated gold accounts
they have deposits at gold bullion banks
they are showing up unannounced, with full paperwork, demanding gold to be handed over paperwork consists of lists, bars, dates, serial numbers, weights, and smelter hallmark brands
this is a full blown run on the bullion banks
it is unclear whether they only doubt their gold remains in possession, or if fake gold is held
they are being shown the stacks of shiny pretty gold bars, and urged not to take possession but the entities are not convinced their particular own gold bars are there
big clearing houses are owed gold bullion, and the bullion banks do not have it
at the same time, the delivery process has been corrupted big
cash bribes are being offered in bids to settle in cash without delivery in futures contracts in fact, the cash bribes are patterned in a reduction over consecutive days
this gives the impression of the extraordinary period being only a brief segment of time
this is a full blown run on the bullion banks
we are fast entering the FRAMEWORK of divergence between paper gold and physical gold
my source confirmed that the divergence is an end game symptom
geez! we might see a $970 gold price before the system just shuts down
this is a run on the gold banks
did I mention this is a run on the gold banks ??
soon we might not have any prices listed on the gold exchanges
soon we might hear of an important default, from a party using courts and legal staffs
soon the physical gold price will be some average of five known private party large volume traders
this is a run on the gold banks

With snowstorms in the air, cities that decided to “go green” by switching from incandescent to LED traffic lights are discovering that their new “green” traffic lights don’t melt snow through waste heat. The alternative requires sending crews out to actually clean off the LED traffic lights, a single such outing costs more energy and money than LED traffic lights can possibly save in a year.

December 20, 2009 - A strong earthquake has hit Malawi, and a government official says at least 3 people have been killed and nearly 300 injured.

The 6.0-magnitude quake struck the southeast African country at 01:19 on Sunday, according to the US Geological Survey.

Gasten Macheka, the commissioner of Karonga district, says it destroyed several buildings there, including schools. He says a dormitory at one government school fell on sleeping students, injuring scores of them.

Macheka says at least 270 000 people have been urged to leave their homes for their safety.

The Karonga district in northern Malawi has been hit by a series of earthquakes and aftershocks since the beginning of December.

Parts of Malawi that lie in the Great Rift Valley are prone to quakes.

Head of UN panel of climate scientists said Copenhagen summit was only the start

Rajendra Pachauri said the accord agreement "will really not be the final word"

December 20, 2009

NEW DELHI — The head of the Nobel-winning UN panel of climate scientists has said the outcome of the Copenhagen summit was a start but urged countries to work quickly towards a legally binding pact.

Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), described the Copenhagen Accord, passed Saturday after two weeks of frantic talks as "an agreement that will really not be the final word.

"We will have build on it, we will have to make sure it moves quickly towards the status of a legally binding agreement and therefore I think the task for the global community is cut out," he told the NDTV news channel.

"In the next few weeks and months we will have to work very hard to see that, before the end of 2010 if not earlier, we get a binding agreement that really moves action in the direction we need," he said in the interview broadcast Sunday ...

There’ll be nowhere to run from the new world government

‘Global’ thinking won’t necessarily solve the world’s problems

TelegraphUK
19 Dec 2009

There is scope for debate – and innumerable newspaper quizzes – about who was the most influential public figure of the year, or which the most significant event. But there can be little doubt which word won the prize for most important adjective. 2009 was the year in which “global” swept the rest of the political lexicon into obscurity. There were “global crises” and “global challenges”, the only possible resolution to which lay in “global solutions” necessitating “global agreements”. Gordon Brown actually suggested something called a “global alliance” in response to climate change. (Would this be an alliance against the Axis of Extra-Terrestrials?)
