The state of Nebraska is going to do well under the compromise struck by Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson to ensure his support for health overhaul legislation. In the final deal-making, the senator won a commitment that the federal government would pick up Nebraska’s share of the bill’s proposed expansion of Medicaid, the federal-state health program for the poor.
Senate aides suggested the change would cost less than $100 million, but it quickly drew criticism from Republicans.
“You’ve got to compliment Ben Nelson for playing, ‘The Price Is Right,’” said Sen. Richard Burr (R., N.C.). For people in other states, he said, the language means “you’re going to pay taxes to make sure that Nebraskans don’t have to pay any portion of the Medicaid expansion.”
Mr. Burr called the deal the “Nebraska windfall,” a reference to the “Louisiana Purchase” that helped secure the vote of Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu in an earlier Senate vote on health care. In that deal, a Medicaid-spending provision was added to help the hurricane-hit state.
Mr. Nelson had feared the bill’s proposed expansion of Medicaid would cause financial turmoil for his home state. After the changes, he suggested Saturday that his concerns were addressed. “I’m comfortable it’s taken care of,” he said.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Mr. Nelson didn’t get special treatment. “I worked with every Democratic senator” to make changes to the bill, Mr. Reid said. “Ben Nelson was just like the rest of them.”
The majority leader added, “If you read the bill … you’ll find a number of states are treated differently from other states. That’s what legislation’s all about: compromise.”
Five other states, including Massachusetts, also won additional federal Medicaid assistance.

Our government's "Green Revolution" is another covert attack on our collective health and environment, largely using their mythical global warming hoax to do so.
The new Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs are a perfect example of this kind of subterfuge. While claiming these new CFL bulbs will reduce carbon emissions, "our" Congress passed legislation stating these new light bulbs must completely replace our everyday incandescent light bulbs by 2014, without telling us of the serious dangers to health and environment, that these mandated bulbs pose.
CFLs are loaded with deadly mercury, one of the most toxic elements on Earth. In fact, all CFL bulbs contain - at least - five milligrams of mercury, about 200 times the amount of mercury in a flu vaccine shot. There is enough mercury in each CFL bulb to contaminate 6,000 gallons of clean water. To break one of these CFL bulbs is to risk ruining the health, or ending the lives, of one's entire family, or office staff, with enough released atmospheric mercury to best require the expensive, professional services of a Haz/Mat Removal Team.
All Americans will be well advised to practice a "mercury escape plan" in the case of an accidental breakage of one of these CFL bulbs: Grab your cell phone, babies, dogs, cats, and parakeets (if they aren't already dead), and get well away from your house. Call a Haz/Mat company to completely clean your house before re-entering it; or better yet, relocate your family. Such are the serious dangers of mercury.
And our environment? This is where mercury laden CFL bulbs do their most serious damage to everyone of us - in the environment. The same environment that our hordes of "Greenies" are so concerned about dying from global warming. But unknown to our greenie friends, already there are hundreds of millions of disposed CFL bulbs that have contaminated personal garbage cans, fleets of garbage trucks (spreading their toxicity near and far), and garbage disposal sites, that are doing irreparable damage to our ground water, except when such garbage is burnt; then, mercury is released into the very air we all breathe.
With over 100 million American households, and tens of millions of other lighted facilities, all over our country, and with each of them disposing of even just one CFL bulb a month ... can anyone imagine how much mercury will poison our disposal dumps, our ground water, our air, our lungs, and our entire bodies. If one did not know better, mercury is the perfect bio/weapon for genocidal madmen: The poison is in dental amalgams, vaccines, light bulbs, and who knows what else.
Are our lawmakers simply without a shred of common horse sense, or are they driven by a sinister power, intent on not only destroying our environment, but our very lives.
In any case, something inhuman drove our CFL horror, and is driving the "Green Revolution," and its off-shoots of global warming, and the entire climate change circus of death.

Sunspot 1036 and 1037 numbered - A small new sunspot group has formed in the southern hemisphere of the sun on Saturday morning. There is also the eastern limb region which appears to have also formed a few tiny spots. Magnetogram is below.
Sunspot 1035 produced a few C-Class solar flares, the biggest of which was a C7.6 event on Friday afternoon. This is now the largest X-Ray enhancement of Cycle 24 up until this update. There will continue to be a chance for an isolated C-Class flare.

EARTHQUAKE SWARM AT MT ETNA - LARGEST VOLCANO IN EUROPE
A swarm of earthquakes occurred at Mt Etna volcano on 19th December 2009. More than 30 earthquakes occurred in the swarm, with the largest being magnitude 4.6. The swarm was located under the northwest side of the volcano.

Cattle Mutilations Most Likely Done By ET
Several waves of cattle mutilation were reported in the end of the 20th century. A mysterious “predator” opened animal carcasses cutting out their internal organs. The predator was unstoppable and dead cattle were found even in zoos.
The most mutilations occurred in 1975 – 1976, the worst of them found in the US. There were thousands of victims. In Colorado alone three cows on average were mutilated on a daily basis. Governor Richard Lamm then stated that the mutilations were "one of the greatest outrages in the history of western cattle industry." Once, buffaloes were mutilated in Cheyenne Mountain that at the time hosted a US Air Force Defense Station. The predators were not stopped by thousands of soldiers patrolling the area. Bloodless animal carcasses remained the challenge that the Americans could not stand up to.
In 2009, cattle mutilators came back. On March 8, a dead cow was found near the Purgatoire River by Mike Duran, a cattle rancher.
"She's an older cow so I thought she may have died. … I spotted her near the (Purgatoire) river bottom and went and looked at her. She was on her side and it looked a little odd. When I took a closer look I saw that her udders had been removed," Duran said. It appeared as if the utters were cut off with a laser. There was no blood on or around the carcass and the incisions were perfectly round.
Two weeks later, Jim Garren, a rancher from Walsenburg, Colorado, also found a dead cow with its udders cut off.
"We searched and searched and we could not find blood on the ground or on the cow. I just can't understand how anyone could surgically remove a part from an animal and not spill some blood," he said.
Absence of blood is one of the characteristics of an invisible forces’ attack. After opening carcasses, veterinarians find out that there is not a single drop of blood in them. It is very difficult to bleed out an animal because when arteries are cut open, veins close and hold the blood back. The blood can be removed by pumping salt solution through arteries, but it is difficult to do in a field.
Rancher Tom Miller found one of his calves dead near a feed tub where cows congregate to eat twice daily.
"It's the strangest thing I've ever seen. I cut the hide and the legs just fell off. All the bones were broken," Miller said.
This happens when a mutilated animal is thrown down from above. There were a number of cases when ranchers found carcasses in the trees, hanging off power lines, or other places where a cow cannot get on its own. Traces of animals in the snow or mud would suddenly disappear as if the animals were lifted in the air. Coyotes and vultures would not touch the carcasses.
